The Warriors wrapped up the week by hitting the road, as several members of the boys’ squad traveled to Sacramento to compete in the Tim Brown Memorial Tournament. The Warriors sent nine wrestlers to Sacramento, with Chaz Harrison coming away with an 8th place finish in his 132-pound weight bracket.
Harrison opened his day with a 2-0 start to put himself into the quarterfinals, but then dropped his quarterfinal match which sent him into the consolation bracket. Harrison then won his first match in the consolation bracket before having his tournament end in the double-elimination format.
Skyler Moore also finished with a winning record in Sacrament, going 3-2 on the weekend in his 145-pound weight bracket. Eddie Hartwick (113 pounds), Kurtis Turner (170 pounds), Brandon Jones (195 pounds) and Keadon Henderson (220 pounds) each split their four matches wrestled in the two-day tournament. Blake Allen (126 pounds) finished 1-3 on his weekend, while Nolan Ridgley (145 pounds) and Walker Gensaw (152 pounds) both dropped their two matches of the tournament.
On the girls’ side, Del Norte’s Savannah Williams won her bracket at the Rumble on the Rogue Tournament in Rogue River Saturday.
