After suffering a 57-52 Tuesday evening at the hands of the Hidden Valley Mustangs at Thunen Gymnasium, the squad’s first of the season following four consecutive wins, the Del Norte varsity girls basketball team had less than 24 hours to lick its proverbial wounds before hitting the road once again, this time for three non-tournament games on three consecutive nights in Redding.
The Warriors opened the gauntlet with a 70-67 loss to University Prep in a game that saw Jadence Clifton score 39 points and saw the two teams combined for 63 points in the third quarter alone, the Warriors responded from a rare two-game losing streak in emphatic fashion. The Warrior girls cruised to a 61-40 win over Central Valley of Shasta Lake on Thursday, and wrapped up the three-game road trip with a 49-29 victory over Redding Christian Friday evening.
The squad, now 5-2 on the season, will now have five days off of game action before heading to Grants Pass to compete in the Hidden Valley Tournament beginning Thursday, December 19.
