After winning just one of its first four Big Five Conference games, a stretch that includes three consecutive losses at Thunen Gymnasium, the Del Norte girls’ varsity basketball team found itself at a crossroads as the Warriors traveled to Eureka to take on the Loggers at Thunen Gymnasium Thursday evening.
The Warriors answered the call in emphatic fashion, cruising to a 60-39 victory over the Loggers in a game that saw the Warriors in control virtually from the opening tip. The Warriors led 34-22 at intermission and took a 42-30 lead into intermission en route to the comfortable victory.
Jadence Clifton led the Warriors with 31 points, while Selene Ledezma added 12. The Warrior girls take their final break from conference play Wednesday when they play host to the St Bernard’s Crusaders at Thunen Gymnasium.
